Of course, if you are really enthusiastic about the LHC (which you ought to be), you can tune in earlier in the day to see the European heads of state inaugurating the LHC, the most powerful particle collider in the world!
The LHC Official Inauguration will take place on October 21st...in the presence of the highest representatives of the member states of CERN and representatives of the communities and authorities of the countries participating in the LHC adventure.
